What to expect on your visit to The Healing Arts Spa on Green Street

Thank you for choosing The Healing Arts Spa on Green Street. Below are some Q & A guidelines on what to expect before and during your visit to the spa.

How far in advance should I book my appointment?

We recommend that you call the spa as far in advance as possible to plan your time with us, a minimum of one week, preferably two. At the time of booking, please express whether you prefer a male or female therapist.

Before Your Treatment

When Should I Arrive?

Spa on Green StreetPlease arrive 15 minutes prior to your first scheduled appointment in order to allow time to check in and decompress.  Out of consideration for other guests, late arrivals do not receive extensions of scheduled appointment times and are responsible for full service fees.

Wondering What to Wear?

Feel free to arrive in comfortable attire.  Therapists will only expose the portion of your body that is being treated at the time.  If you are having a facial you may even wish to arrive without makeup.  It's best to remove your jewelry before a treatment or leave it at home.

What about Cell Phones and Pagers?

We ask that cell phones and pagers be muted for maximum relaxation!

During Your Treatment

What should I expect?

Your therapist will consult with you on your expectations before beginning your treatment.  He or she will customize the treatment around your needs, and will also create an individually tailored home care plan for you.

Do I have to talk during my treatment?

Spa on Green Street

It's entirely up to you, as the staff takes their cues from you.  If you are quiet, they will be too.  If your therapist's touch is too rough or too light, the temperature of the room too warm or too cool, or the music is too loud, speak up!  Their goal is to provide you with the ultimate spa experience.

After the Treatment

When the treatment has ended and the therapist extends an invitation to "take your time getting up" while he or she leaves the room, just how long is it acceptable for one to continue lying there?

In most instances, the treatment room will be needed in the next 15 minutes or so for the next guest.  It is certainly appropriate to take your time while dressing, about five minutes or so.

Your therapist will meet you downstairs with some water and review what you can do at home to continue the results of your treatment.

Checking Out

Spa on Green StreetYou will be able to schedule future treatments at this time.  If you would like to leave a gratuity for your therapist, fifteen to twenty percent is considered customary.
