Dr. Misty Caudell, a Pilates client, performs some basic and intermediate exercises on the MVE fitness chair. The fitness chair provides a true strength training component with the principals of Pilate’s core training to allow for a fun overall experience.

The Pilates program is customized to meet the needs of each individual guest, while all the exercises use the Pilates principals, they are designed to engage the client and are fused with a variety of strength training techniques.

The pike (above) is an exercise that promotes shoulder stabilization and core strength. This is an intermediate move that can be modified for a beginner.

The mountain climber (above) is an intermediate move that requires leg and core strength. This exercise is seen as an intermediate move but can also be modified for beginners to build leg strength. This exercise also promotes pelvic stabilization.

The mermaid (above) allows for lengthening along the torso while challenging the core muscles and increasing torso flexibility. The mermaid is great for those with chronic lower back pain as it allows for a release in the musculature in the lower back and pelvic region.
